A Client From The UK Custom Packaging for His Juice Products

This client contacted us on May 29th, looking to customize packaging for 150,000 units of his juice products.

Through our discussions, we learned that he had already secured a contract with a well-known company for the juice itself, but needed to find a separate manufacturer to customize the packaging. The major supplier was only responsible for providing the juice and not the packaging. Since this was his first project after changing careers, he wasn’t very familiar with the process and didn’t have any specific ideas, so he needed a professional packaging manufacturer to offer advice

A Client From The UK Custom Packaging for His Juice Products

Having previously worked as a programmer, he has a meticulous personality. He quickly finalized a visit to our factory with our sales representative for June 4.

June 4 arrived quickly. It was a very hot day. As soon as the client stepped inside, our sales representative took him on a tour of our sample room. There, he saw numerous product packaging samples and learned about paper materials, box styles, and processes such as spot UV, foil stamping, and varnishing. He found the packaging fascinating—far more sophisticated than he had imagined. He also noticed that a major juice manufacturer we’d worked with had customized packaging through us. After reviewing our previous custom projects, he began to form a preliminary vision for his own packaging: he wanted an easy-to-open design, something recyclable, and a high-end look. He selected a tear-open design with an inner liner, spot UV, and embossing. though the spot UV might be adjusted later. Since his juice products are sold in the EU, we previously had a European client whose country prohibits plastic pollution, so we skipped lamination and used a varnish finish instead. If we apply the varnish, the spot UV won’t be noticeable, so we’ll keep the spot UV process for now. With so many technical terms, we compiled a separate document explaining the different processes and sent it to him. That way, even if time passes, he can simply refer to this record.

After gaining a general understanding of packaging, everyone had cooled off a bit, so the sales team took the client on a tour of our production facilities. First, they showed him the printing workshop to demonstrate the color effects of the printing process. Next, they took him to the post-press workshop to see the results after lamination and the effects of various finishing processes. Then, they walked him through our entire workflow, including die-cutting, gluing, and packaging. He also saw that we handle commercial printing and can customize manuals, and thank-you cards. He envisioned using holiday packaging to enhance his brand.

Having gained such a deep understanding of the packaging industry, his vision for his products became increasingly clear. We finalized the quantity and the general box structure with the client, and our designer proceeded to create the die-cutting template. The client then continued on to Nanjing for his next meeting.
